Lots and lots of long pieces, and I haven't worked out how to do the LJ cut thing,so get scrolling. So, another day in the post (I hope) monsoon season. Skies are clear, it's hot and the mountains surrounding the ciy are sloooowly showing glimpses of themselves. Only when the dust and the smog are kept down though, so rarely. Reckon I'll have to get on a bike and head out of town this weekend... Today there is supposed to be a city-wide strike, but in the same fashion as civil servants at their desks and hot water from taps, it's failed to materialize. You get used to it. 'What!' you cry! 'Governmental employees neglecting their duties and a lack of water suitable for showering?' Yes,it's true. But everyone must realise it is terribly hot here and there is such a lot of milk tea to get through.... Be like a Nepali. If it's not too hot to do any real work wherever you are, pretend it is, make a sweet, weak tea and do some reading. And if you are in the tropics, chances are you're doing it anyway... Current Location: Ktm, Nepal
